Mohan Babu threatens Charmi
Well, before you jump into your own assumptions, here is the news. Charmi Kaur’s forthcoming film Pratighatana, which has been doing very little buzz, was supposed to release on April 4 at first. After knowing that Mohan Babu and Ram Gopal Varma’s much-awaited Rowdy is due for release on April 4, the makers of Pratighatana deferred their release.
Directed by Tammareddy Bharadwaj, the movie features Charmi as a TV journalist. Charmi clarified that her film is not releasing on April 4 but may hit the screens on April 18. Considering that Charmi worked with Titans Mohan Babu (Political Rowdy) and Ram Gopal Varma (Dongala Mutha), she said to be having due respect on duo and reportedly don’t want to compete with the Titans. At the same time, Rowdy is making good buzz after its first look, trailer and music strike a chord. Expectations on the film are high and Manchu Vishnu himself is releasing the film in U.S. All these have reportedly threatened Charmi as there is no noise of her film.
On flip side, Charmi’s career is on a downward spiral and she desperately need success. Her last film Prema Oka Maikam too is a debacle. Charmi is pinning hopes on her next and want to be out of competition. Smart move Charmi!
