Analysis: Hit films Ke Side Effects!

Analysis: Hit films Ke Side Effects!

Every actor worth his salt might have come across this tricky situation. At times, even hit films work against the lead actor. Here is our analysis how super hit films effects lead actor's career.

After essaying the larger-than-life role in "Bhag Milkha Bhag" and breathing life into the role of an ace sprinter, Farhan Akhtar swept awards and become an iconic actor.  Exactly, that dampened the prospects of his very next film "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" (even though its a decent film), since he was seen in a simple role of a new-age husband, who is unable to handle marital issues. After raising on the bar on himself with Bhag Milka Bhag, the talented actor's ordinary role has apparently disappointed his fans since it didn't take even good openings.

Even top Telugu stars suffered hangover blues and their subsequent films didn't fare well. Nagarjuna suffered flops after "Annamyaa", Mahesh Babu tasted flop after playing a larger-than-life role of a fearless undercover cop in "Pokiri" and Warrior role of Charan's in "Magadheera" trampled his lover boy role in "Orange" , so the list is just endless and reasons might vary in each one's case.
