Will Mahesh Babu follow Chiru in politics?
Once Chiranjeevi in his hey days, like Mahesh now, was jittery about politics. Chiru used to pose as reluctant to join politics. In fact, many had sought his support in election campaigning. But Chiru never came out to support anyone. One of the prominent contestants was top producer Aswini Dutt who is known be close friend of Chiru since they worked in many films including classic Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari.
So, when Aswini Dutt contested for Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat in 2004 elections, most of the industry bigwigs felt that Chiru would come out in open and support his old time buddy. Instead, Chiranjeevi just issued press statement and urged voters to support his friend and kept quite.
It's a different matter altogether that Chiru finally stepped into election arena in subsequent 2009 elections. Now that Mahesh under constant pressure from his brother-in-law Jayadev Galla, supposed to be TDP candidate from Guntur Parliament seat, the big question is Will Mahesh too issue just a press statement rather than coming out in public and support Jayadev? Will Mahesh follow Chiru on this point? Charismatic stars do play it safe. Let's wait and watch.
