Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed Home Ministry to take back
Padmashri award from Tollywood actor Mohan Babu for misusing and
insulting the prestigious award in his movie ‘Dainnekainna Ready’.
Earlier Senior BJP leader Indrasena Reddy has filed a petition in the
High court alleging that actor Mohan Babu and comedian Bramanandham has
insulted and misused the award in the movie and both have no respect for
the award and the nation. The High court which heard both the parties
has recently announced its judgment directing them to return the award.
Meanwhile Mohan Babu’s son Manchu Vishnu came in defense of his father
recently however the High court has now directed the Home Ministry to
take back the award. The Home Ministry officials are now in dilemma how
to take the award.
