Three top heroes eyeing on Vijay movie remake 

                                            Kollywood hero Vijay’s recent Pongal release Jilla has got a stupendous response at the box office and it kick-started 2014 for hero Vijay in style. Mohanlal played a cameo in the movie and it became a highlight for the movie!

This Nesan’s action entertainer is now getting competition from Tollywood big heroes including Mahesh, Ram Charan and Jr NTR for remake in Telugu. Mahesh watched the movie and has appreciated the team and congratulated director Nesan personally over phone.

We have seen earlier how well Mahesh or Vijay slip into the shoes of respective roles and so people are speculating that Jilla would suit for the image of Mahesh Babu. But Charan’s fans beg to differ here and are saying that Charan would suit best for the Vijay’s Jilla role. Jilla director said that he has been getting calls from Tollywood heroes and that he has not thought about with whom to work for the remake. Nesan however said he would certainly work for a movie in Telugu. We hope to get some clarity on this soon!

                                    If the Tollywood scuttlebutt machinery is to be believed, Young Tiger NTR is all set to become a father. Sources say that the actor’s wife Lakshmi Pranita is pregnant and is expecting a baby very soon. While we tried to verify the news with NTR’s office staff, they neither denied nor agreed to it. If it turns out to be true and it will be one of the biggest celebrations for the actor’s fans in 2014. It is known that NTR is married to Lakshmi Pranathi on May 5th, 2011.

NTR is currently shooting for his next film, Rabhasa (working title) in Pollachi. A song is being shot there. The movie unit will also go to Jaipur for a major schedule of the movie. The actor is going to have a busy year in 2014 with Rabhasa, Sukumar film and Koratala Siva’s movie.

                              Sai Dharam Tej’s debut movie, Rey was delayed for more than 2 years now. Finally every thing seemed to be in place as the makers released the audio and announced the release as February 6th. But the postponement demon is back again. The movie is now pushed back to February 20th. The makers say the delay in post production works has forced this postponement and it will be the one last time according to the makers.

Bhimavaram Bullodu Censor Report 

                                       Sunil’s upcoming movie, Bhimavaram Bullodu has completed its censor formality a short while ago. The Censor board members have issued U/A certificate for the film. The movie was earlier stated for Sankranthi and later for Republic day release but it did not happen. The makers are waiting for the right time to release the movie with out the competition from other big films. Sunil’s last film, Mr.Pellikoduku fared miserably at the box office. So, the actor is determined to make amends with this movie.

                  Mohan Babu extensively campaigned for TDP when NTR floated the party. He was a former Member of Parliament – Rajya Sabha. He was nominated by Telugu Desam Party in 1995. He was an active participant in Politics then but he quit politics due differences with TDP supremo Chandra Babu Naidu. And from then became busy with his acting and production careers. However, Mohan Babu’s political reentry is being discussed for several times in the recent years. The actor finally spoke on the issue.

In his own words, “I do not have any such plans now because too much of money is involved in politics these days. News is that Mani Ratnam who has been planning a bilingual multi-starrer project with Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna. The India’s award winning director had met Shruti Hassan to rope her into the project as the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu.

It is also heard that Shruti was super excited to be a part of the big project. However when she was asked about the project she has nothing to say other than how it feels to be a part of Mani Ratnam’s project (it is every actor’s dream to be a part of Mani sir’s project). And a source said that Shruti Haasan will not reveal project details before the movie is officially announced.

                        We can say Pawan Kalyan mania has reached peaks and the proof is here actually! National magazine India Today has had a special edition (not just an article, friends but an edition) focused on Pawan Kalyan.

The special edition it seems ran to over 120 pages and comes with as much powerful heading, “Powerful Star – Style and Smart Star.” And we have to tell that this is the first time for Pawan Kalyan to have a book titled to him.

It is speculated that the special edition will cover information about Pawan Kalyan, his filmography to his personal life (women in his life) to how he is dealing with the Pawanism. India Today takes credit of publishing special editions to other actors too including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and also Mahesh Babu before this!

It is surprising that the Magazine took this long to release one on Pawan Kalyan especially with his charisma encompassing masses and classes for some years now! Now we can wait for the release of the edition, can we?

 Keeravani announces retirement

                     Veteran Music director MM Keeravani had decided to hang his boots. Having scored music in several languages for many movies, Keeravani will be retiring on 8th December 2016. He made his debut on 9th December 1989 at Prasad Studios, Chennai which means he had a illustrious career spanning 27 years. He announced about his retirement plans on his Facebook page. Here is what he posted

“I recorded my 1st song on 9th December 1989 at Prasad Studios Chennai. The very day i fixed my retirement day to be 8th December 2016 which i am planning to celebrate the day with my close associates and musicians.. most likely at Prasad Studio, Hyderabad. So it is hardly 3 more years to go. Meanwhile i am happy to start this new journey on FB from tomorrow, details will be updated in the evening. I thank all of my fans who spared their time to express their likes, dislikes, advices and wishes to me all these years !!”

Off late, Keeravani became selective in his music compositions. He is a regular technicians for all Rajamouli films. In recent times, he composed music for Dammu, Shirdi Sai. His upcoming movies are

Salman to take responsibility of Jai Ho failure 

                                 

                          Often we see actors taking the credit of the success of their films but running away in the case of failures. But Salman Khan seem to be a different case. In a recent interview, the actor had made it clear that he will be taking the credit of his recent film, Jai Ho just in case the movie did not pick up from Monday. “I am the biggest crowd puller of the film. It is my responsibility to woo fans to the theaters”, said the super star. 

Jai Ho started slow at the box office collecting just over Rs.17 crore on its opening day at the domestic box office releasing in over 4500 screens across the world. the movie opening is very weak compared to any Salman Khan movies off late. It is known that the movie is a remake of Chiranjeevi’s Stalin movie released in 2006 directed by Tamil director, AR Murugudoss.

                         Mahesh Babu’s Nenokkadine team is fighting a tough battle; unfortunately despite being a path-breaking film Nenokkadine did not impress the box-office and in fact there were divided talks about the film.

Nevertheless, the filmmakers have not given up this fight because along with them most of us too believe that they have indeed made an excellent film.

The film in fact was very well received in the US but due to exuberant ticket prices the sales seemed to have dropped dramatically.

And thus the filmmakers have decided to cut down the ticket price by 50% to draw the audience to theaters and also churn some good and positive talk about the film.

They anyway have strong advantage of Mahesh’s fans in the US who will come to watch their star for sure and the discount in ticket prices will definitely cheer them up and also encourage them to watch the film.

Rabhasa sequences to undergo reshoot 

                     Jr. NTR’s much-anticipated film Rabhasa was scheduled to hit theatres in March but the latest reports are suggesting that the film is likely to hit the screens sometime during the summer.

Rabhasa is directed by Santhosh Srinivas and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh and as per latest reports we heard that the filmmakers are toying with the idea of releasing the film in summer.

The reason being cited over the postponement is that the makers were not too happy with the way a few portions have shaped out in the film and thus they have decided to re-shoot these scenes, which is why the delay in the release of Rabhasa.

Jr. NTR will be seen opposite Samantha and Pranita. It is also being told that a major shooting schedule is planned to take off in Kerala’s, Pollachi.

Mega cousins registered title of their multi-starrer 

                 

                          The audience did not seem to get enough of the Allu Arjun’s cameo alongside his cousin Ram Charan in the recent blockbuster Yevadu directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Fans welcomed this mega combination with a loud cheer but they seemed not too happy with Bunny’s brief appearance in the film. Allu Aravind has realised that the audience would love to see the mega cousins pairing together and has thus planned to make a multi-starrer casting his son and nephew but he is currently waiting for the appropriate script that will balance the stardom of both the heroes and the fans will equally be excited.

However, Allu Aravind has gone ahead and registered a title Charan-Arjun and it seems Charan is really happy with the title.

Charan has stated, “Even we are excited about it! My uncle Aravind has registered the title on spur of the moment. We are waiting for a good script that can do justice to roles we both will play. I love the title Charan Arjun. Hope something works out.”

                           Allu Sirish’s second movie Kotha Janta was earlier slated for Valentines day release but we are said that the movie is not releasing then. We are said that the makers want some more time to complete the movie and they are also reshooting some of the scenes for improvisation. Shah Rukh advised two weeks rest!

       Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan’s old knee problem aggravated recently when a door fell on him while shooting. The actor had suffered from ‘bone contagion’ of his shoulder and a ligament injury on his left knee. He hurt the knee some 12 years ago and later got operated on it. But the injury got aggravated now. But the actor was adamant to complete his day’s shoot and was later taken to a local hospital. 

A CT scan and a digital x-ray were done. The doctors have examined the injuries but ruled out a requirement of any surgery. The actor was advised two weeks complete rest allow the bruises to heal naturally, along with physiotherapy twice a day. He will be reexamined two weeks later to see if the medical procedure is to be changed.

       Its official people! Ram Charan’s movie under Krishna Vamsi has gotten a title, and as we have already reported earlier the movie is titled as Govindudu Andarivadele. This is the first time ever that Ram Charan’s movie title has some family flavor besides being lengthy too.  

Cherry who is on a high with Yevadu success after ‘Zanjeer/Thoofan’ debacle is eyeing a bigger hit (with Krishna Vamsi) and a record breaking one to be exact.

This will be the 8th movie for the Mega Power Star and he has already started focusing on the movie. Although the title sinks well with Telugu audience and common man, we wonder this may not be the one that Cherry’s fans would be looking at, but given the fact that movies with simple titles are accepted (Attarintiki Daredi, anyone?) even the makers may have picked this one! It also goes well for a movie having joint family story or a patriotic village guy who would do anything for his people. We wonder what is in store for us in the movie. This will start rolling from 6th February and the release is aimed for Dasara.
